New to the UK vaccination leaflet for migrants:

This information is for anyone who has moved to the UK and advises them on the need to register with a GP to get up to date with their routine vaccinations. It explains the vaccines that at risk people with health conditions, pregnant women, infants, children and older adults need and the diseases this will help protect them from. It also signposts to the health services and where to get assistance and how to use the services. 

Further translated versions are available to download or print locally in the following languages:

Albanian, Arabic, Bengali, Chinese (simplified), Chinese (traditional) Farsi, Kurdish, Panjabi, Pashto, Portuguese, Romanian, Romany, Russian, Somali, Spanish, Tigrinya, Turkish, and Urdu.


You do not need to be registered with a GP or show any immigration documentation to receive your covid vaccine.

Public Health England (PHE) has published translated versions of easy-read leaflets on the COVID-19 vaccinations.
 
The leaflets, which include information on what to expect after your vaccine and information for women who are pregnant or are breastfeeding their baby, are now available in 21 languages including English, Arabic, Urdu and Polish.

Covid: Vaccine scams information in South Asian language

As coronavirus vaccines were being rolled out across the UK, fraudsters have used this as an opportunity to scam people. The NHS is warning everyone to be vigilant about fake vaccination invitations.

BBC Asian Network is helping people in the South Asian community to spot potential scams, with advice videos in five South Asian languages: UrduPunjabiSylhetiTamil and Gujarati. All are available here.

National public health advice

Public Health England (PHE) has advice on: Hands. Face. Space. guidance, symptoms, NHS Test and Trace, and the NHS Covid-19 smartphone app

  • Translations include: Arabic, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Polish, Punjabi India, Punjabi Pakistan, Simplified Chinese, Slovakian, Somali and Urdu.
  • Alternative formats include: Easy Read, large print, BSL and audio files.

Doctors of the World has Covid-19 information translated into 61 different languages, including how migrants can access NHS Health Services.

The Covid-19 Infographics website has easy to understand graphics in a variety of languages to help summarise key points about Covid-19.

Symptoms

The main symptoms of Covid-19 are a high temperature, a new, continuous cough and a change to your sense of smell or taste.

The NHS Covid-19 smartphone app helps control the spread of Covid-19.

NHS Test and Trace

Test and Trace is very important to stop Covid-19 spreading. 

  • Public Health England has advice about testing, self-isolating, and being contacted by NHS Test and Trace available in many languages and alternative formats
Schools

Information about covid safety in schools is available from Public Health England.

Mental health advice

Information about mental health advice has been translated by the Royal College of Psychiatrists. It is available in: Arabic , Bengali, Bulgarian, Chinese, French, German, Greek, Gujarati, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Lithuanian, Pashto, Farsi, Polish, Punjabi, Romanian, Russian, Somali, Spanish, Tamil, Turkish, Urdu and Welsh.

For local mental health support, the Community Roots website can be displayed in 80 languages.
